What's Happening On The Greenway?
Peachtree Creek Greenway is the featured greenspace for
REI’s Hikes For Health in May! REI & PCG encourage you to
encourage visitors to walk, hike, jog, bike, roll, and stroll as you
enjoy this space. Enjoy these great activities on the Greenway.
On the first three Saturdays in May
(May 1, 8, and 15), 5 photos from the Greenway will be posted on PCG’s
FB and Instagram feeds.
You will then take your own photos (extra points for uniqueness) in each of the spots from each week’s post, and post your photos using the hashtag #PCGHikesforHealth by the end of the day the following Friday on Facebook or Instagram. New photos to find will be posted on May 8 and 15.
Winners will be drawn randomly and can pick up their swag, PCG T-shirt, and water bottle on Sunday May 23rd, from 1 to 3 pm at the PCG tent near the Corporate Blvd Trailhead.
Every Sunday in May (except Memorial Day weekend - May 2, 9, 16 and 23), PCG board members and ambassadors will be at the Peachtree Creek Greenway to greet visitors, answer questions, and show them all that PCG has to offer.
PCG Ambassadors will be at a tent near the Corporate Blvd Trailhead
and walking along the Greenway between 1 to 3 pm.
Be sure to pick up your own river oats seeds at our tent near the Corporate above trailhead. River oats are a native plant that helps hold back the river bank and decrease erosion.
Plant yours to build up the seed population for future plantings!
On The Greenway
PCG will have a special treat for moms on Sunday, May 9th from 1 to 3 pm. Stop by the tent near the Corporate Blvd Trailhead, and moms will receive a packet of wildflower seeds so they can grow a garden of their own.
Whenever they look at these beautiful blooms, they will serve as a reminder of the Peachtree Creek Greenway.
MODA: Bike To The Future
Peachtree Creek Greenway will be featured in an international traveling exhibition at the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) April 22 - July 25. Fifteen projects from around the world that were featured in the 2019-2020 Bicycle Architecture Biennale, which showed how cycling transforms cities, will be shown next to exhibits about bicycle-focused efforts like City Studio’s Peachtree Shared Street, Midtown Alliance’s bicycle infrastructure projects, and of course, Peachtree Creek Greenway!
You can tour the exhibit virtually, or make an appointment to visit in person with up to 9 of your friends and family for a private showing.
